Knoxville, TN – The Knoxville Ice Bears have officially kicked off the 10^th Anniversary with the unveiling of a new logo.   

When the Ice Bears take the ice in October, it will mark the longest tenured hockey franchise in the history of Knoxville. The new logo will be the marketing focal point for the Ice Bears tenth season.  In promotion of a decade of play, the team will don three different jerseys they will wear during the course of the season.   On the tenth of each month leading up to the start of the season, the Ice Bears will launch a new and exciting event.

In celebration of the 2011-12 season, the Ice Bears will be hosting numerous contests and events all season long.  The focus of the celebration will be on the fans.  The dedicated and enthusiastic supporters who have walked through the turnstiles are the primary reason for the Ice Bears’ success.  The organization is committed to providing a great entertainment value and a hardworking, committed team each season.

 The logo includes a subtle backdrop of the great Smoky Mountains which is enhanced with an iconic 10.  A broad banner is placed at the base of the logo celebrating the team’s tenure.  The logo was created by an emerging graphic designer, Michael Vinson.
