Emery Olauson Excited to Return After Wrist Injury

Emery Olauson looked like his old self on Monday afternoon — and that was great news for the Knoxville Ice Bears.

Olauson showed no signs of a bad wrist as the Ice Bears opened training camp with a two-a-day workout at the Civic Coliseum.

During the afternoon scrimmage, Olauson scored three goals —  including two off assists from Kevin Swider, who is making a comeback to the Ice Bears after taking a year off.

“It was a long summer of taking care of my wrist and everything like that,” Olauson said. “It was right down to about two weeks ago when I finally got cleared to play, and since then I’ve been looking forward for camp to start and get under way with the boys and see where we go.”
