Columbus, GA - Knoxville Ice Bears coach Scott Hillman wasn't happy with Southern Professional Hockey League referee Ian Croft.

Hillman termed Columbus's first two goals "very questionable" as the Cottonmouths defeated the Ice Bears 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday night.

Tim Green, Columbus' leading scorer, beat goalie Kirk Irving 70 seconds into the extra period.

Knoxville (10-4-2) still salvaged a point against Columbus (5-9-3).

Roman Markhovski's second goal put Columbus ahead in the first period.

"The first one was covered (by Irving) and it (puck) went in after the net was dislodged," Hillman said.

Ryan Moore tied it for Knoxville when he beat Chad Rycroft for his fifth goal 2:02 later.

Sam Bowles, playing his first game with Columbus, scored with 1:03 left in the second period while the Cottonmouths enjoyed a 5-on-3 power play.

"The second one may or may not have hit the crossbar," Hillman said. "The ref definitely did not see it go in. I'm not going to say it didn't go in until I see the video."

Knoxville's Brett Smith tied the game 2-2 in the third period with his third goal.
