Ice Bears look to show off for 10th anniversary, All-Time Ice Bears Roster
date: 01/13/2012Tonight will start a two-day showcase of Knoxville hockey history at the Civic Coliseum.
Many of the all-time greats have returned for Legends Weekend as the Knoxville Ice Bears play host to the Louisiana IceGators tonight and Saturday night.
Both games start at 7:30. Saturday’s game will be preceded by the Legends Game at 5:30.
It’s the Ice Bears’ 10th anniversary — making it the longest-tenured hockey team in Knoxville history — and in honor of it, retired hockey writer Nick Gates, who covered Knoxville hockey from 1988-2010 for the News Sentinel, has selected his 18-man 10th anniversary team.
