Augusta, GA - Bryan Hince is undefeated as a professional goalie. The rookie netminder turned away 44 of 46 shots for a victory in his professional debut. During training camp the celebrated goalie from Plattsburgh State showcased talent that is sure to push current number one, Andrew Gallant.
The Knoxville Ice Bears secured their third win in four attempts this season by edging the Augusta Riverhawks 3 - 2. With the game knotted at two through two periods of play, Ice Bears' forward Emery Olauson buried the puck into back of the nylon after the puck ricocheted to clean ice from a point shot fired from Jim Jensen.
Fighting back from a one goal deficit twice during the game, the Ice Bears showcased their character and work ethic, essential characteristics of Ice Bears head coach, Mike Craigen. At the 11:03 mark of the second period, Olauson pulled the Ice Bears even with assists from Jensen and Travis Hanson.
Three minutes earlier, Augusta's Ryan Olidis scored the go ahead marker at 8:09 in the second. His goal was assisted by Aaron McGill.
The first period had the two teams trade goals to end the session in a 1 - 1 tie after 20 minutes of play. Olidis scored a shorthanded, unassisted goal at the 1:43 of the first period to put the Ice Bears back on their heels right out of the gate. Rookie Chris Bratina drew the teams even minutes later at 4:22 when he scored an even strength goal that was assisted by defenseman Robby Spaulding.

Thursday, November 4th will mark the inaugural broadcast as the Ice Bears travel back to Augusta to take on the Riverhawks. The voice of the Knoxville Ice Bears, Mark Atnip will be providing accurate and colorful descriptions of each game all season long.
Upcoming Games - The Ice Bears are back in action next week with three games in three nights. The first of the triple header will kick off in Augusta as they take on the Riverhawks. The same two teams square off on Friday night in Knoxville at 7:30 pm - Church Night. Bring your church bulletin to receive $1 off admission in any Silver Level seat. Saturday the Ice Bears will host (7:30 pm) the team that handed Knoxville their first loss of the season, Columbus Cottonmouths for Jersey Shore Night.
