Ice Bears Restore Order Over Havoc
date: 11/23/2008Knoxville, TN - The Knoxville Ice Bears and Huntsville Havoc started the game with a bang, Kyle Lundale and Tim Hockely squared off three seconds into the start of the game. It wasn't much longer, 54 seconds into the game when the Ice Bears capitalized on a power play with a goal from Chris Reberik. The teams traded shots for seven more minutes until Huntsville pulled even on a goal by Travis Kauffeldt.
Kevin Swider took advantage of a 5 on 3 by scoring his third goal of the season on a feed from Tim Vitek at 7:52 of the second period. B.J. Radovich tied the game 2 - 2 at 13:25 of the second period.
The third period remianed scoreless, sending the game into over time. Bobby Joe Pelkey put the Ice Bears in the win column by scoring at the three minute mark of the extra session.
Both goalies played very well to keep the game close. Knoxville's Andrew Gallant made 37 stops and Ross Cherry denied the Ice Bears 25 times.
