KNOXVILLE, TN (February 15, 2012) – The Knoxville Ice Bears have traded defenseman Paul Holder and goaltender Jesse Kallechy to Pensacola in a cash deal. In addition to the trade, the team has signed former Huntsville Havoc goaltender Matt Hache and three game tryout, Brad Pawlowski to contracts.
Matt Hache is a 6’4” 205 lbs goaltender who has spent time with the Fayetteville FireAntz and the Huntsville Havoc playing in 15 games and registering a 5-8 record. Over his travels with the two franchises recorded a 4.04 GAA and a .869 SV%.
Pawlowski is a 6’3” 225 stay at home defenseman who arrived in Knoxville from Thousand Island of the Federal Hockey League. In his three game tryout he registered no points and earned 10 minute in penalties.
The Knoxville Ice Bears are home for two games next weekend when they host the Mississippi RiverKings on Friday for Pucks and Claws sponsored by the Knoxville Zoo and Saturday they host the Huntsville Havoc for the annual Miss Knoxville Ice Bear competition sponsored by Ray’s ESG.
