Knoxville defeats Fayetteville FireAntz in Exhibition Game

After a thirteen player shoot-out last night in Fayetteville, the Knoxville Ice Bears defeated the Fayetteville FireAntz 7-3 in Knoxville. Six different Ice Bears players scored goals, and even more had assists. Knoxville scored with a fury in the first period, in fact the Ice Bears scored five goals in just over five minutes. New player assistant coach Bobby Joe Pelkey scored the first point at 3:06 into the game. Randy Johnston, Tommy McMonagle, Chris Hollens and Frankie Furdero also put points on the board

 

The Ice Bears coaching staff will make the first round of cuts for the 2009-10 training camp tomorrow. Final rosters will be submitted to the league on Thursday, the day before the home opener.
