Knoxville Ice Bears to host National Anthem try-outs

August 20, 2009 - The Knoxville Ice Bears will be holding National Anthem try-outs in preparation for the upcoming season. The auditions will be held at Knoxville Center Mall at Center Court on Thursday, September 3 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The Ice Bears will be selecting singers for all 28 regular season home games, as well as the exhibition and playoff games. Local judges such as Cindi Alpert from 106.1 the River, Jamie Lewis from Praise 96.3 and local singer Tommy Spencer, will assist in choosing the top performers. Participants will be required to sing acappella, and instrumentalists are welcome. Singers will not be required to sing O’Canada, but the ability to do so is a plus. Auditions are open to the public, but singers are encouraged to pre-register by calling Zach Carter at (865) 525-7825.
