Former FireAntz veteran Emery Olauson scored the first goal of the night off a pass from Frank Furdero. Mark Van Vliet was also credited with the assist.
Less than 25 seconds later, Ice Bears Captain Mike Bulawka scored with help from Dallas Costanzo and ex-Havoc Martin Kubaliak.
Travis Hanson ended a strong first period with the third goal assisted by Robbie Spalding and Furdero.
Huntsville answered quickly in the second period tying the Ice Bears with three goals by Matt Piegza, Greg Moore and Chris Smith.
Chris Bratina responded with back-to-back goals, both assisted by Eric Slias.
The Ice Bears ended strong again with a goal in the last 6 seconds of the second period scored by Marco Trevino assisted by Olauson.
Havoc Kyle Laughlin scored the only goal of the third period assisted by Derek Fisher and Billy McCreary.
Kubaliak heated up the ice dropping his gloves against Kevin Kessler and again, 10 minutes later, against Tanner Shultz.
