Mike Craigen trying to solve issues at goalie
date: 01/27/2012Goalie concerns soared even higher Thursday for the Knoxville Ice Bears.
Rookie Jesse Kallechy was left as the Ice Bears’ only goalie when Nick Niedert was called up to Elmira (N.Y.) of the East Coast Hockey League.
Ice Bears coach Mike Craigen spent Thursday in search of another goalie for tonight’s Southern Professional Hockey League game against Fayetteville in the Civic Coliseum. Game time is 7:30.
“I’m doing what I can do,” Craigen said after the morning skate. “I can’t go out back and pluck (a goalie) off a tree, so we’re working with what we’ve got right now.”
