SPHL Tries to Minimize Costs

Less is better when it comes to travel in the Southern Professional Hockey League, and nobody knows that better than Knoxville Ice Bears president/general manager Mike Murray and Coach Mike Craigen.

Both played pro hockey in Knoxville - logging thousands of bus miles through the years - and both were pleased when the SPHL announced the schedule for the 2011-12 season that focused on reducing travel for teams as much as possible.
