Mike Murray - President/GM
A native of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Mike joins the Ice Bears as the President / G.M. and Ownership partner after a long and successful hockey career. Mike is no stranger to hockey success, a draft choice of the New York Islanders in 1984 Mike also spent 3 years with the Philadelphia Flyers, has won a Memorial Cup Championship (OHL) in 1986, a Calder Cup Championship (AHL) in 1988 and 3 President’s Cup Championships (SPHL) from the Executive side in 2005, 2007 & 2008.
After retiring from hockey Mike became General Manager of River Islands Golf Course, a Four Star golf course located in Kodak, TN, for over 8 years. Mike is supported by his wife Yvonne, daughter Madison and now brings all his hockey and business knowledge to the Ice Bears in order to assure the stability and success of hockey in Knoxville for many years to come.
