The Knoxville Ice Bears have signed goalie Connor Green for the 2026-27 season. Green returns to Knoxville after spending the final two months of last season with the team after being acquired on loan from Baton Rouge in the FPHL.

Green made his SPHL debut on Feb. 14 at home against Pensacola, shaking off a first period goal against to stop 37-of-38 shots as the Ice Bears rallied for a 3-1 victory at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. He followed it up with a 38-save performance against Huntsville the following night as the Ice Bears won 4-3 at the Von Braun Center. Green finished the regular season 4-3-1 with a 2.94 goals against average and a .914 save percentage in nine appearances.

Prior to the SPHL, Green spent three seasons at SUNY-Potsdam, appearing in 34 career collegiate games during that span. The New Port Richey, Fla. native spent parts of his junior career in the USPHL Premier and WSHL. He appeared in 22 games for Baton Rouge last season before coming to Knoxville.

The Ice Bears open their 25th anniversary season Friday, October 16 at home against Evansville at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
