The Knoxville Ice Bears have made a trio of signings in advance of their three-game weekend, which begins on the road at Huntsville Thursday night.
Knoxville signed winger Thomas Crabtree on Wednesday night and added defenseman Ryan Ramage and forward Brett Menton Thursday afternoon. All three players will be in the lineup for Thursday night’s game in Alabama.
Crabtree, a Knoxville native, played collegiately at division 3 SUNY-Canton before spending a year playing in Sweden during the 2018-19 campaign.
Ramage played three seasons in the SPHL, but has not appeared in a pro hockey game since 2013. He’s appeared in 116 SPHL games, including 36 for Knoxville from 2010-12.
Menton joins his third SPHL team of the season, having played 16 games for Macon and two for Roanoke this year.
