The Knoxville Ice Bears have signed veteran Dean Moore to a PTO. The 6-foot, 200-pound defenseman has played 242 professional games in the SPHL, ECHL, Australia and Sweden.

“He’s a veteran D-man who really loves the game,” said Ice Bears Head Coach Jeff Carr. “We want to make sure teams can’t put the puck in our net. He wants to be a contributor offensively as well. Having two veterans on our back end will be huge with the league we’re in right now.”

The 32-year-old Moore hails from Bradenton, Florida and turned pro during the 2009-10 season following his junior career in the EJHL. He has played in the SPHL for Louisiana, Fayetteville, Mississippi and Pensacola.
