The Knoxville Ice Bears have signed rookie forward Tyler Stewart for the 2026-27 season. Stewart rejoins the Ice Bears after playing eight games for Knoxville late last season following the conclusion of his collegiate career at UMass-Dartmouth.

A native of Lower Burrell, PA, Stewart finished the regular season with three appearances for Macon. He played in both postseason games for the Mayhem in their first round series against Peoria. As an Ice Bear, Stewart scored two goals and added three assists, scoring his first career pro goal in the first period of a home win over Evansville on Mar. 7.

Stewart appeared in 104 games at NCAA Division III UMass-Dartmouth, scoring 63 career goals and adding 70 assists. He put up 45 points off of 21 goals as a senior last year, good enough for fourth in the nation in goals and tied for sixth in points. He was an all-conference selection in each of his last three seasons.

The Ice Bears open their 25th anniversary season Friday, October 16 at home against Evansville at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
