Keira Towers joined the Knoxville Ice Bears as the team’s mental performance coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Keira is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) within the Association for Applied Sport Psychology practicing across North America, teaching sport psychology skills and techniques to individuals looking to take their performance to the next level. She has previously worked with NCAA Division II and Division III football programs over the last several years. Through research-based evidence, Keira helps clients manage performance stress, improve attentional focus, better control emotions, return from injury, build and maintain confidence, navigate challenging transitions, communicate more effectively, develop leadership skills, and improve cohesion to enhance team performance.
Keira is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sport Psychology from Laurentian University. She then moved the United States, where she went on to complete her master’s degree in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee. Towers is now a doctoral student in the Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
An avid pet lover, exerciser, and reader, Keira loves to spend time outside, traveling, and eating good food. When not working with clients, you can find Keira riding her bike on the greenways or in the mountains, laughing with friends, or hiking with her dog!
